ABOUT FRIENDLY ACCESSIBILITY

Friendly Accessibility launched in 2021 out of necessity.
Hi, I'm Julie. As a mom to two neurodivergent young adults with sensory sensitivities, I watched my kids struggle when the pandemic pushed everything online and digital spaces were not accessible. They needed accommodations to thrive in education, healthcare, employment, and everyday services – but those accommodations simply weren't there.
This personal experience became a mission to make welcoming spaces easy for everyone.

Today, Friendly Accessibility is a certified woman-owned small business based in Silicon Valley, specializing in digital accessibility and sensory-friendly spaces. We are also the Silicon Valley Outreach Partner for the Pacific ADA Center of the ADA National Network.

What makes our work unique is that it is guided by authentic lived experience.

My advocacy partner and younger child, Jade, is an autistic college student who navigates life with multiple sensory sensitivities. Jade brings the neurodivergent perspective that makes our solutions genuinely effective. We operate from the disability rights principle of "nothing about us without us" – you cannot ask an AI or follow a checklist to know if people feel comfortable; you must ask the people themselves.
Together, Jade and I completed professional training through Stanford's d.School in Design for Social Impact, and Jade earned CPACC certification from the International Association of Accessibility Professionals.
It was an honor to present our accessibility solutions at the 2025 Stanford Neurodiversity Summit.
We've developed Learn in MINUTES: Digital Accessibility, an innovative training approach that replaces lengthy technical modules with digestible, engaging, beginner-friendly learning. Our newest system, Neuro-Ready Spaces, brings sensory-friendly hospitality to life and helps organizations understand that accessibility isn't just the right thing to do – it's smart business.
When spaces are designed for everyone, you can reach more people. Everyone wins.
